The trend continues in 2011 for the modern, contemporary wedding. Customs from a traditional wedding are being set aside for new, fresh ideas starting with the bride’s dress! From new silhouettes to refreshing colors, brides are making choices a little off the beaten path. While vintage styles remain popular, other brides are opting to wear dresses with non-traditional colors such as grays and pinks, and for the rebellious bride - prints. We are also seeing feathers as a major trend in bridal fashion, which adds a light, carefree touch to a bride’s look. Today’s brides are often even wearing two dresses on their special night! One dress is worn for the ceremony, and one later in the night for dancing at the reception- usually a shorter, cocktail dress.
