Carolina Herrera Spring 2014,
Shopping for your dress is one of the most daunting and exciting parts of planning your wedding. With 2014 trends being beautiful backs,  lace and details, there are so many beautiful dresses to choose from. Strapless, backless, full skirts, slinky, high neck, boat neck, rounds, v's and ooh its mind boggling. If you are lucky you will have the body that every dress you try on looks amazing, but what about the brides who have to think about, not the dress they dream of, but the dress that works on their shape and size? Suddenly the choice slims down and the stress levels go up!
Having a small back myself and yes, large boobs, (can't exactly hide them!)  I really can sympathise with brides who have to choose dresses that accommodates their bust. Yes you can have built in bras but lets say you have more than a DD cup, built in bras and the scaffolding needed needs to be built out of sturdy stuff! Nothing more uncomfortable than the boning of the dress bending and sticking in to you on your wedding day! So ladies lets take a look at some styles that will look amazing!

I adore this dress from Pronovias! It offers the V neck automatically visually reducing the size of your boobs, you can wear a bra and I am sure their must be away to hide the shoulder straps through the lace! Simply stunning! A pair of spanks to keep the line of the dress smooth and it is perfecto!

Lace and the Kate effect is still going strong in 2014. Personally I think this works well for us ladies with curves! A line dresses also allow for a corset bodice that will pull you in and support your boobs! This style is flattering and pretty timeless!

Keeping it simple around the bust and having some low details on the dress will draw the eye down and away from the shelf!

Top tips!

  • Stay away from high neck dresses
  • If you are going to go for a strapless dress invest in a great corset to offer additional support and remember to jump up and down a few times and see how supportive and comfortable you feel!!
  • Cross over dresses look fab on curvy girls
  • V neck dresses are our friends!
  • Keep the neck line simple!
