I am totally smitten with floral wedding cakes. Pop the kettle on, snuggle up and indulge in wedding cakes so pretty they will make you feel all warm and mushy inside!

When is the best time of the year to get married in Italy?
This is my favourite time of the year, mind you I do say that about spring time in Italy too, actually I also say it in the winter and summer months... Umm every season is perfect for a wedding in Italy! But in Autumn the leaves are changing colour and the sun filters through the air making cameras happy as photographers are able to capture truly stunning photographs!
Perfect for lunches outside and lush dinners inside beautiful venues, yet warm enough for outdoor bars and relax zones for later in the evening.
Not too hot that some of your guests will feel uncomfortable, but still hot enough that the sun worshippers will be happy.
Basically a wonderful time of year for a wedding in Italy!

Sometimes you see something so pretty you wish you could eat it...
I am lucky because I get to design and knit together weddings which tick every box. The chic city wedding, the country romantic wedding, the just the two of us wedding, the shabby chic wedding, the modern wedding and if I had to chose one design for myself I would be thrown and I would want them all! Maybe that is why I love working on all styles and put my heart in to each one as if it were my own.
Today is a classic example, I was looking at wedding cakes and suddenly thought how does one chose just one style? I had cuttings of modern cakes, funky cakes, chic cakes, romantic cakes, colourful cakes etc all open on my computer and loved them all. So I though focus on just one and I zoned in on Cotton and Crumbs cakes, only selecting my all time favourite out of all their designs... Thankfully I love cake tables and could have them all in all sorts of shapes and sizes! :)

Traditional fruit Wedding Cake
We are all predicting many of our brides to be inspired by the Royal wedding. I am guessing by the small details we are learning that Kate Middleton's chosen theme for her day could be English rose or vintage England as their chosen cake designer is the wonderful Fona Carins.
