Winter weddings are here!

Ladies I totally understand we have to suffer a little to look our best, but sometimes a strapless dress in the snow... When a bright and beautiful coat could keep us snug and warm! This year I have been eyeing all the beautiful red coats the high street has to offer and thinking I really hope one of my winter brides wears a statement coat! 

It is the 1st of August and it is heating up... So we are going to cool things down!

I am a massive fan of a winter wedding (especially a winter wedding in Italy!) I love the different textures, layers and colours that we can play with. I also have a thing for open fires, hot chocolate and fresh snow.  But what I am not a fan of is feeling cold and there is nothing worse than seeing a bride shivering and turning blue, which is why staying warm in style is so important for a winter bride!

As many of you know I have had the joy of organising many weddings at Castelbrando, however I have yet to organise a winter wedding here! Which is such a pity as it is the perfect timelessly elegant location for a magical winter wedding. Just look at the above photo taken yesterday evening of Castelbrando sat majestically looking over a snow covered valley and imagine a perfect winter wedding...

As winter approaches and my friends in the UK inform me Christmas stock is already out in the shops my mind turns towards this magical time of year!  I have always loved the winter season, lots of candle light and roaring fires, lush rooms decorated in frescoes, warm red wines and rich dishes of food!
This year we have seen a noticeable increase of couples wishing to get married in the winter months and here are the top 5 winter wedding destinations in Italy!

Christmas in Italy

I know we are only at the start of November but the streets are decked out in Christmas lights, shop windows are displaying parcels wrapped up in pretty paper and there is a buzz of excitement in the air.

It really is the most wonderful time of year!
