Choosing the dress can set the theme for the whole wedding and we tend to go in with a pretty good idea of what we like and leave with a dress totally different but when you put it on... It felt perfect! Let's take a look at what will inspire future brides! 2014 is going to be a riot of colour, pink wedding dresses made a statement in last weeks fall wedding show, from the palest hint to rich deep pinks but they were not the only colours on show, gold is also shining through! Lace and vintage especially 1930s Hollywood glamour will still be going strong next year and texture is also going to be big. Sleeves and straps are making a welcome appearance and we have also seen separates and trousers. One very strong theme is detail, be it layers or lace over lays, the designers have excelled in the fall shows with some of the most breathtaking details!

I'm disappointed with Temperly's collection this season. Shapeless and nothing at all that represents the feminine appeal of the brand. Jenny Packham on the other hand never seems to fail.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Jenny Packham's last collection I felt was slightly lacking but this collection has come back with gusto! Am not sure on the bright pinks from VW but maybe on the right bride it could work. Love the detail on Oscar de la Renta's dresses this season.
