Symbolising good fortune and joy in Chinese culture it is traditionally the colour of happiness and good luck making it very popular in Chinese weddings. While I think every colour scheme works 12 months of the year there is something very lush and cosy about richer deep colours. Velvet red roses make me think of Christmas and deep reds and oranges of Autumn...
