Downton Abbey brides over the years.

After a wonderful Christmas day I snuggled up on my sofa today to catch up on yesterdays Christmas special of Downton Abbey and was not disappointed.
Feeling nostalgic as we saw the happy ending of Downton Abbeys families upstairs and down and saw the last of the Earl of Grantham's daughters get married and not ready to say good bye just yet, let's take a look at the Downton Abbey brides over the years...

To mop up happy tears!

Vintage is still a big theme in 2013 and its shaping up to still be going strong in 2014! One of the reasons I love vintage, is all the little details that makes it  unique. The personal touches is what makes a wedding memorable. So when I came across the Wedding Chicks custom printed tea towels and hankies it started me thinking about printing on vintage hankies and check out what I found!

Emma and James part 4 - Just married lets party!

One of the things friends will tell you is take some time out in the day for yourselves, if you have a good photographer they will suggest taking you off for a short photo session alone. If you have a really good photographer you will have moments when you wont notice them and you can have a private moment... That's exactly what Emma and James had, beautifully captured by Cinzia Bruschini, before they rejoined their family and friends for the feast of Tuscan delicacies, then danced the night away to one of the best bands supplied by Alma Project. Enjoy!

Vintage Brides

The past couple of weeks we have been preparing for one of life's eventualities, the passing of my 92 year old grandmother. Whilst the loss of a mother and grandmother is not without grief, the  joy of looking back on her life and through all her photos has been fascinating! Trying to work out who all the beautiful young people are in the photo's taken in her youth, but what I found much more exciting is all the wedding photographs! There’s just something about vintage wedding pictures that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. (Unfortunately I could not take any of the photos with me to scan them but I may try when I am back for the funeral next week!)

1940's vintage inspiration!

Tuesdays moving vow renewal in Venice,  after 70 years of married life, started me thinking what the bride and grooms first wedding would have been like in the 1940's...

A vintage inspired wedding in Veneto! - part 1 getting ready

Abiti sposa Milano { Real Weddings}: Cecilia e Fausto 1 °parte

A simply stunning bride, a beautiful day, lots of laughter and love... All caught by the talented photographer Eigirdas Scin from White Fashion Photographer

Egle wanted to capture the 1940's hollywood glamour, think Katharine HepburnVeronica Lake and Grace Kelly, for her wedding day.
I often look at these photos and think how Egle looks like a model, but she is the real
deal and her wedding day was just breathtakingly beautiful!

Vintage wedding in Siena

Lorna and Steve chose the fabulous setting of Siena for their wedding day. This wedding was filled with countless gorgeous details, from the very personal ceremony in the historic town hall of Siena, to the vintage  glass vases filled with beautiful floral arrangements in the marquee, the whole day was magical. It was a truly fabulous wedding that will be remembered for years to come.

We love working with  Edorado Agresti and his team (captured above by Kelly Hayes , with our lovely hairdresser from London and the bride to be Jesse from the USA.)
