When Sassi Holford offered to design a friend’s wedding dress 30 years ago, she had no idea that it would be such a defining moment in her life. Just 17 years old, the dress was a success and Sassi started receiving requests from other brides, eager for her to design their gowns as well.

Sarah & Jonathan Italian wedding part 1
Today I met a sweet couple to talk about their wedding next year and the questions of photographers came up. They were thinking about having a friend take their photos. Which is not always a bad idea if you like your friends style and your friend is committed to capture every aspect of your day for you... On the other had having a professional photographer who will cover all of your wedding from the day before to the day after really is magical, which is exactly what the lovely sarah and Jonathan did when they hired the amazing Shella from London to come with them and capture the magic! Here is what Shella has to say about the experience and some of the beautiful photographs she took...

Stunning wedding albums
A friend yesterday asked me if I wanted to see the photos of her wedding day, her face lit up when I very excitedly said yes! (I Love seeing wedding albums!) We went in to the sitting room and there on the coffee table was a beautiful leather wedding album!

Sometimes you just need to spell it out!
One of the lovely things about Italy is you have such a stunning backdrop you don't need to dress the setting. However we still can not over look the small details which make each and every wedding bespoke and express the bride and grooms characters.

Stunning wedding in the Tuscan village of Barga
The wedding of Kristin and David took place in a little village they fell in love with after staying at a friends villa on holiday. Little did they know back then that this would be the village where David would propose and later they would marry!

To invite children is always a big dilemma. I think it all depends on the type of wedding you wish to create.

Vintage Italian tins... We want them!
I have always loved square
tables or long tables and decorating them so they take on the character or
theme of the day can be a lot of fun!
I love vintage vases and
over the years I have acquired quiet the collection, but for one of our weddings this summer I would like to mix it up with
some vintage Italian tins and have been looking for some inspiration...

Destination wedding in Italy = a bargain!
A new study by Travelex shows that a record number of British couples are heading abroad to get married in a bid to avoid the spiralling costs of UK weddings. They found an increase of 15% of british couples decided on a destination wedding. That means as many as 80,000 Brits will shun the UK in favour of a foreign wedding over the next 12 months.

A vintage inspired wedding in Veneto! - part 2
Egle wore a beautiful gown designed by Juozas
Statkevicius Couture which could not have been more perfect for her! Her choice of a small fragrant bouquet fit perfectly with her style. Peter was overwhelmed when he saw his bride and the ceremony was very tender and moving!

A vintage inspired wedding in Veneto! - part 1 getting ready
A simply stunning bride, a beautiful day, lots of laughter and love... All caught by the talented photographer Eigirdas Scin from White Fashion Photographer!
Egle wanted to capture the 1940's hollywood glamour, think Katharine Hepburn, Veronica Lake and Grace Kelly, for her wedding day.
I often look at these photos and think how Egle looks like a model, but she is the real
deal and her wedding day was just breathtakingly beautiful!

Mike takes on the road to Paris!
Today we are cheering on one of our grooms Mike White as he undertakes a challenging and what is sure to be a gruelling 250 mile charity cycle ride from Surrey to Paris. Yes this has been done before but Mike and his friend Will Lloyd will be cycling on 1970s Raleigh racing bikes, which they bought for £20 on the Internet! Yep they are old and rusty and the wheels wobble!
This crazy ride will take 3-days departing on May 10 to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
They have bravely declared that they 'will make it to Paris what ever the weather'
Whilst Mike cycles 20 miles a day to work, he is still feeling nervous as the date approaches. He added: "I am feeling like I haven’t trained enough and could do with some more time, but I am excited about doing it. It’s entering the unknown and I’m really looking forward to that final run down the Champs Elysee towards the Eiffel Tower."
We wish you all the luck in the world as you undertake this challenge and hope you make a lot of money for Cancer research UK.

Romantic dessert buffet
I just love this shoot from the Modern Wedding DIY magazine and wanted to share how to create this amazing romantic dessert buffet with you.
Dessert buffets not only provide delicious tasting sweet treats for your guests to enjoy, they are also a wonderful visual feast. Style your dessert table around the same colour palette and theme as the rest of your wedding.
Treats in shades of pink, yellow and white have been selected for this table, to complement the floral arrangements. By combining dessert foods such as mini cakes, cake pops and cookies with a yummy mix of colour-coordinated candy, allows your guests to choose just how much sweetness they want to indulge in. Guests can simply pick up prettily wrapped jars of candy or fill their goody bag with their own selection.
