Branson all own or have owned villas on northern Italy's
idyllic Lake Como. Surrounded by roaming mountains that are dotted with
tiny pretty villages and offering breathtaking panoramic views, it's no wonder
this 28 mile-long, Y-shaped lake in Lombardy has always served as a tranquil
paradise for the rich and famous.

One Bride, One groom, will travel!! Part one...
When Sara first wrote to me asking for information, she introduced herself and her fiance as ''living in the US and love to travel!'' Sara and Jason had never been to Italy before, but Sara's great grandmother was from the old country and they felt it would be an ideal way to connect their past with their future!

When is the best time of the year to get married in Italy?
This is my favourite time of the year, mind you I do say that about spring time in Italy too, actually I also say it in the winter and summer months... Umm every season is perfect for a wedding in Italy! But in Autumn the leaves are changing colour and the sun filters through the air making cameras happy as photographers are able to capture truly stunning photographs!
Perfect for lunches outside and lush dinners inside beautiful venues, yet warm enough for outdoor bars and relax zones for later in the evening.
Not too hot that some of your guests will feel uncomfortable, but still hot enough that the sun worshippers will be happy.
Basically a wonderful time of year for a wedding in Italy!

The first step...

I love this time of year, as all the men get brave over Christmas and New Year to pop the question and I receive the excited e-mail from a bride and groom to be asking for help to plan their dream wedding in Italy or the UK. I love hearing about all the different ways the grooms proposed to their brides and the joy in the brides voice as she tells me their story. All of the wedding proposals are as individual as the couple, and I am always intrigued to hear the details, where did he ask, did he go down on one knee, did he have the ring etc. I really love my job and hearing about this first step on the path to the alter.

Italy- the perfect location for your wedding!
Today Kelly is driving from Venice to Milan and then from Milan to Montone in Umbria passing through so many different landscapes and regional cultures it could make your head spin! Is it possible to sum up Italy in to a simple little package? I am sure others will try but after collectively more than 30 years of living here, we cant! Italy is a vast country made up of individual counties with their very own identities, architecture, cuisine and personalities!

Lake Garda, a wedding with a view!

Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy sits nestles in the heart of the mountains, with sparkling blue water reflecting the dramatic hills at the foot of the mountains, covered in pale green olive trees and darker cypresses, while the scent of bougainvillea permeates the balmy air. So apart from all that what makes Lake Garda such a special location for a wedding?

Destination wedding in Italy = a bargain!

A new study by Travelex shows that a record number of British couples are heading abroad to get married in a bid to avoid the spiralling costs of UK weddings. They found an increase of 15% of british couples decided on a destination wedding. That means as many as 80,000 Brits will shun the UK in favour of a foreign wedding over the next 12 months.

“Food!
Fashion! Culture! Scenery! With its mix of the best sights, smells and designer
bags … there is a holiday for everyone in Italy.” Which makes it

The Groom With A View #3`
| Treviso |
Bouquets and Buttonholes
Just three days left to our wedding day and we find ourselves in the beautiful town of Treviso. The build up to this point has been an excitable mix of chaos coated with romance, the mayhem finally being pulled into shape with the help of The Italian Wedding Planner and no small amount of effort from all those involved.
