Lucye and Bernie’s wedding in Portofino captured the personality of the happy couple and beautifully documented by the talented Jacqueline Campbell Here are some of Jacqueline's favourite photos and comments from this lovely Italian affair…
Lucye wore a gorgeous Carolina Herrera gown with an Italian feel (right). The wedding shoes (swoon) were Louboutins (left).
Bernie’s fleur-de-lis cuff links (left) were just one of the Brides New Orleans touches throughout the wedding.
Lucye’s sister and maid of honor, Raine (left), helped her get ready for the big day.
Seeing the bride in her dress for the first time, Lucye’s dad’s reaction was priceless…
The bride, her dad, and her grandmother rode through town to the church in a tiny, typically-Italian vehicle called an “Ape.” The pedestrians and tourists cruising around couldn’t get enough!
A few happy tears fell along the way to the stunning, cliff-side church.
Something about Italy just lends itself so beautifully to black and white.
Lucye and Bernie got the celebration going with a First Appritivo (Prosecco, foccacia, and light snacks) in the town piazza.
Then we hopped in the Ape and headed up the hill to the gorgeous Hotel Splendido for the reception, dinner, and dancing.
Not a bad view from the Splendido.
All in white with hints of green, the dining and dancing venue could not have been more gorgeous.
I can’t help but tell you a little bit about the delicious meal Lucye and Bernie picked out… it all began with a refreshing locally-caught seafood salad.
Then came a risotto with local scampi and pumpkin flowers. Yes, please!
Next up, homemade ravioli in a lovely walnut sauce.
And so forth. No wonder this little guy was in a happy food coma.
The maid of honor’s fabulous shoes (left) and a wedding favour (right), a little sack of risotto from Bernie’s aunt and uncles factory in Vercelli.
Congratulations to Lucye and Bernie!!! Ah, Portofino, I hope to be back someday…
